Edible Arrangements has chosen Dallas-Fort Worth as its debut market for CBD-infused foods like smoothies and chocolate-dipped fruit.
A CBD powder, which gets pulsed into smoothies and infused into chocolate, comes from a company called Incredible Edibles. That company was founded by Edible Arrangements co-founder Tariq Farid.
CBD products, which are made from hemp, were legalized in Texas in mid 2019 — though Texans had found CBD goods on store shelves for years. The law signed by Gov. Greg Abbott in June cleared up confusion and opened doors for companies like Edible Arrangements to bring their CBD-infused products here. Marijuana, hemp’s cousin in the cannabis family, remains illegal in Texas.
Edible Arrangements offers CBD products, including chocolate-dipped fruit and smoothies. Some of the franchise stores in North Texas don’t have their CBD smoothies available just yet.

Customers were able to start buying CBD-infused smoothies and chocolate-dipped fruit from Edible Arrangements in October.
“Consumers are showing an increasing demand for CBD products, and Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the hottest markets for this flourishing industry,” says Cheikh Mboup, chief operating officer of Edible Arrangements, in a statement. What’s more, a spokeswoman says D-FW franchisees “were the first to express interest in carrying the new products” after a company convention in Florida over the summer.
The Atlanta-based company agreed to release its hemp products in North Texas and its suburbs first.
The CBD industry was valued at $1.9 billion in 2018. It could surge to $20 billion by 2024, according to a cannabis research company in Colorado called BDS Analytics. CBD-infused products come in all varieties: gummies, supplements, lotions and oils. Edible Arrangements is best known for selling baskets of fruit cut into the shape of flowers.
The company is debuting its CBD products in 25 Edible Arrangements in North Texas. Stores are in Arlington, Bedford, Cedar Hill, Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth, Frisco, Garland, Irving, Keller, Mansfield, Mesquite, Plano and more.
